Most of the discounted or budget airline tickets are non-refundable. Therefore, in general any non-refundable tickets are not only the most affordable ones, they are also the most restrictive, and do not allow refunds as per ticket fare rules. There are otherwise general flight tickets also available which are refundable.
Review your itinerary for fare rules, restrictions, and ticket cancellation fees prior to making a booking. Airlines may permit cancellations 24 hours prior to flight departure. Usually airlines may charge an additional 'no show' penalty if the booking is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled departure time.
